2012 Paraduxx Napa Valley Red Wine Rector Creek Vineyard - Block 4
Sold Out
Our Vineyards Series is a collection of limited-production wines that offer their own inspired variations on the contemporary and innovative style of our Paraduxx red blends. Grown in the rocky soils of our Rector Creek Vineyard, which surrounds the Paraduxx winery, this sumptuous and sophisticated blend balances the wild berry and tobacco leaf elements of Petit Verdot from our prized Block 4, with the raspberry and spice notes of our Rector Creek Zinfandel.

Winemaker Notes
This gorgeous wine offers big, bold aromas of blackberry and ripe blueberry, as well as hints of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Concentrated flavors of juicy black currant saturate the palate, supported by beautifully integrated hints of French oak. Though beautiful now, this wine’s robust tannin structure promises a long life.
Production
2012 offered near-perfect growing conditions. Warm weather during bloom allowed the vines to set a large crop with increased yields were the result of more berries, not larger berries. Slightly cooler-than-average post-veraison weather, and a lack of any heat events allowed for greatly extended hang time. Harvest was 2-3 weeks later than average, and the grapes arrived at the winery in pristine condition.
