2015 Paraduxx Napa Valley Red Wine Rector Creek Vineyard - Block 4
Sold Out
Our Vineyard Series is a collection of limited-production wines that offer their own inspired variations on the contemporary and innovative style of our Paraduxx red blends. Grown in the rocky soils of our Rector Creek Vineyard, which surrounds the Paraduxx winery, this sumptuous and sophisticated blend balances the wild berry and tobacco leaf elements of Petit Verdot from our prized Block 4, with the raspberry and spice notes of our Rector Creek Zinfandel.

Winemaker Notes
The aromas offer inviting toasty oak notes that sing with layers of coffee, chocolate and roasted hazelnut, as well as generous helpings of cherry and blackberry. On the palate, mouthwatering tannins and hints of molasses and clove support the voluptuous fruit and carry the wine to a deep, rich finish.
Production
Other than being approximately a month earlier than usual, our 2015 harvest was smooth and successful, yielding exceptional quality grapes. To allow us ample opportunities for blending, we harvested 16 different grape varieties over the course of 12 weeks. During this period, Mother Nature provided heat to speed up ripening when we needed it, and equally well-timed cooler temperatures when the vines needed a respite. The extended harvest allowed us to pick all varieties at optimal ripeness. As a result, our white grapes show lovely aromatics and varietal character, and our reds show beautiful depth and concentration.
