2017 Paraduxx Atlas Peak Napa Valley Red Wine
In Stock
Our Vineyard Series is a collection of limited-produced wines that offer their own inspired variations on the contemporary and innovative style of our Paraduxx red blends. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese comes from the high slopes of Atlas Peak, where temperatures can be up to 10 degrees cooler than the valley floor. This ensures long, even ripening, yielding an elegantly textured wine with expressive layers of cherry, lavender and forest floor.

Winemaker Notes
This stunning union of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese beckons with aromas of ripe red currant, cherry, sandalwood, sweet French oak and spice. On the palate it is rich and concentrated, with fleshy layers of juicy red fruit supported by plush tannins and an undercurrent of bright acid. The finish is long and distinctive, with lingering hints of red berries, red brick minerality and dried flowers.
Production
Winter rains were followed by a warm, dry spring in Napa Valley that led to a perfectly timed budbreak. With lovely weather throughout summer, all of our white varieties were harvested before a week-long heat event during the last week of August, resulting in Chardonnay and Viognier with excellent acids and enticing aromas. Because the early-season rains produced healthy canopies, our red grapes developed perfectly during the heat. After a timely cooldown that provided additional hangtime, our reds were harvested in September and early October, yielding bold and robust wines with beautifully polished tannins.
