2019 Paraduxx Winemaker Series Dry Creek Valley Red Wine
Sold Out
Our winemaker has been exploring the timeless union between Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon for many years. To craft this alluring red blend, we sourced grapes from terraced mountain vineyard overlooking Lake Sonoma in Dry Creek Valley. Grown in this relatively cool climate, the fruit retains energetic acidity, yielding an elegant and aromatic wine that combines the vibrant red cherry and savory herb notes of Sangiovese, with the impeccable structure and sophisticated blueberry, violet and anise flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Winemaker Notes
This graceful and luxurious union of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautifully aromatic wine with vibrant layers of cherry cola, blueberry, rhubarb, bay leaf and leather, as well as hints of sandalwood and vanilla from French oak aging. On the palate, firm, focused tannins and a bright, concentrated core of juicy red cherry create a lush mouthfeel that lingers throughout a long, sophisticated finish.
Production
The 2019 vintage began with a cold, wet winter followed by a cool spring, which resulted in a late budbreak. The cool, consistent weather provided abundant hangtime, ensuring ideal flavor development in the grapes. Yields for our red varieties were slightly above average, and temperate late-season weather allowed for a measured pace to harvest. Across the board, the 2019 wines are bright and balanced with smooth, elegant tannins and lush, vibrant flavors.
